Dear NIX1 member,
Please be aware of a scheduled maintenance window at our NIX1 location on 20th August from 06:00 to 08:00 CEST. During this time, we have two primary goals:
1. Upgrading our core link between Bulk/HMG9 and Stack/Digiplex from 100G+100G to 400G. [1]
2. Upgrading one of our peering switches (nix1-digiplex-sw) to support BGP session culling and single lambda optical modules.
3. Upgrading nix1-ojd-sw2 to alleviate problems with graphs and general software upgrade
During this maintenance period, the service may be either unreliable or unavailable. We will provide live updates in the #ops channel on the NONOG Slack: nonog-community.slack.com
We are in the process of implementing BGP Session Culling as specified in RFC 8327 [2] as part of our maintenance routine. However, this feature is not yet fully implemented at our Stack/Digiplex location. Therefore, you might experience a session timeout if the session is not manually managed beforehand.
Best regards,
Herman Loennechen
